These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using "Chokiru" (the "Service"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

Article 1 (Scope)

  1. These Terms govern the use of Chokiru (the "Service") between every user of the Service (the "User") and the operator of the Service (the "Operator").
  2. By using the Service, the User is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2 (Description of the Service)

  1. The Service takes the URL of a YouTube video, has AI select the highlights automatically, and generates vertical jump-cut clips.
  2. Users may download the generated clips and use them on social media and elsewhere.
  3. The Operator may change, add to, or discontinue the Service without prior notice.

Article 3 (Account registration)

  1. The Service can be used anonymously without logging in. Registering an account is recommended for continued use and to keep your history.
  2. Users shall provide accurate and up-to-date registration information.
  3. Users are responsible for managing their own account. Transferring or lending an account to a third party is prohibited.

Article 4 (Fees)

  1. The core features of the Service are provided free of charge.
  2. Paid subscription plans and credit purchases are also offered. Prices and contents are shown on the pricing page.
  3. Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel or change plans at any time from the billing page; when you cancel, automatic renewal stops at the end of the current billing period.
  4. Because of the nature of a digital service, fees already paid are in principle non-refundable.

Article 5 (Rights in source videos and use of generated clips)

  1. The Service generates clips from videos published on YouTube. Copyright and neighbouring rights in the source video remain with their respective rights holders.
  2. When using a generated clip, the User is responsible for complying with any guidelines published by the rights holder of the source video (such as clipping permission conditions).
  3. Clipping from videos for which the rights holder has not given permission, or using clips for prohibited purposes, is done at the User's own risk. The Operator bears no responsibility for any dispute or damage arising from it.
  4. Compliance with the terms of each social platform (YouTube, TikTok, etc.) is the User's responsibility.

Article 6 (Prohibited conduct)

Users must not engage in any of the following:

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Acts related to criminal activity
  3. Acts that infringe the rights of others (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, publicity rights, etc.)
  4. Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service (unauthorised access, excessive requests, abuse of automation tools, etc.)
  5. Registering false information
  6. Using another user's account without authorisation
  7. Providing benefits to, or otherwise cooperating with, antisocial forces
  8. Using the Service to cause nuisance or disadvantage to third parties
  9. Any other conduct the Operator deems inappropriate

Article 7 (Suspension and interruption of the Service)

  1. The Operator may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service in the following cases:
    • Maintenance, inspection or updates of the system
    • Force majeure such as natural disasters, power failures or communication failures that make provision difficult
    • Failures or specification changes in external services (YouTube API, Google Gemini API, Amazon S3, etc.)
    • Any other case the Operator deems unavoidable
  2. The Operator bears no responsibility for any damage suffered by Users as a result of suspension or interruption of the Service.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Operator does not warrant that the Service fits any particular purpose of the User, that it is accurate, complete or useful, or that it will be continuously available.
  2. The Operator does not warrant the quality or accuracy of AI-generated output (highlight selection, subtitle correction, titles, etc.).
  3. The Operator bears no responsibility for any damage (including claims of rights infringement) arising from the use of content the User generated with the Service.

Article 9 (Suspension and deletion of accounts)

  1. If a User breaches these Terms, the Operator may suspend or delete the account without prior notice.
  2. Users may delete their account using the prescribed method.

Article 10 (Changes to these Terms)

  1. The Operator may change these Terms. The amended Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
  2. Using the Service after a change constitutes agreement to the amended Terms.

Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
